Dandelion the Destroyer

You might think that title is a little dramatic...let me tell you, it is not!

Firstly, NO cable is safe! she will go out of her way to pull out pins on the skirting just to pull up and eat the cable. Her latest attack took place on our internet and phone line. You might think that's not too bad but we had to get a 10 meter cable to rewire it because the master socket is in such a place that you can't actually put the phone or hub near it. We ran the new cable around the ceiling to be extra safe!

A couple of weeks ago we were plunged into darkness at 10:00pm. The storms were around so we figured it was a normal power cut and had to phone the electric company who were sending an engineer. About 30 minutes later, we discovered the brutal dismembering of our freezer cable, which obviously tripped the breakers! No wonder she had been very cuddly whilst the whole thing had been going on. Little cow...

Rabbits have wonderful personalities and are a joy to watch when they are not cooped up in cages. They can be very destructive but it is worth it for the amazing little pet you get with it! Dandelion is particularly good at getting into things and finding trouble, if it is to be had, she will find it! Her favourite past time is playing with the toilet brushes - got forbid we leave a toilet door open, or pulling out the kick boards in the kitchen to get under the cabinets.

Dandelion is VERY food oriented. You cannot walk anywhere in the house without rabbit under foot asking for food. She has breakfast, then has a second breakfast when we wake up the others outside. She then snacks on healthy food and hay all day long...literally. Well, and cables, boxes, fabrics and other assorted home furnishings as she sees fit. The video posted is her with her puzzle treat toy - she got bored of completing the puzzles and discovered that throwing it would work just the same.

Dandelion likes to have things to chew, after all it is a rabbits favourite activity - they literally just do it for fun. Below are some her favourite chew spots, including our repaired freezer cable from that fateful night!

The dog bed, that she pretty much takes over at bed time. A box and a wicker basket that she claimed from under our bed. And lets not forget that poor cable that wont take another beating! what she dishes out in destruction, she makes up for in cuddles, cuteness and amusing behaviour. Just look how cute she can be!?
